Living Taiji

Living Taiji: A 3-Hour Workshop on Applying Ancient Wisdom to Modern Life

More than ever, we face rising stress, interpersonal disconnect, and a crisis of meaning in our daily lives. Many of us are looking for a way back to clarity, to connection, and to what it means to be fully human.

What if ancient wisdom could offer us a way forward?

Taiji (太極) means “great extremes.” In its philosophy and practice, we find a way to understand the natural state of being: Inward and outward attention, giving and receiving. These could help us understand “being present” or “living in the moment”.

Join us as we demystify Taiji and shed a practical lens on how it can profoundly enhance performance, relationships and love for life. This workshop explores how the principles of Taiji can help us respond to modern challenges with presence, awareness, and flow.

  • 1. Movement practice

Through simple movement-based games and partner work, we’ll explore how principles like balance, sensitivity, and attention show up in real time.

We’ll learn to sense space, give and receive, lead and follow. These exercises help reveal where we hold tension, and offer a practical way to build a stronger body-mind connection, and more ease in how we relate to others.

    2. Taiji Practice

Practicing Taiji puts the body into a spiralling motion. Doing so, we enhance the body, mind connection. Movement becomes a mirror: showing where we’re holding on, where energy flows and what enhanced connection with the body feels like.

    3. Dialogue

Did you know you can practice Taiji in conversation? We will utilise and explore special tools to help us converse better with ourselves and with others.

    • Revitalise and see the relevance of the ancient practice of Taiji

    • Build deeper self-awareness

    • Reconnect with others meaningfully

    • Explore presence in a fresh, embodied way
